Zhu Xiang Cha 竹香茶
$5.98
Zhu Xiang Cha is an improved version of Zhu Tong Cha, the Puerh packed in a bamboo pipe, which is the most primitive form of compressed Puerh, even older than the other common shapes like Bing Cha (cake), Zhuan Cha (brick) and Tuo Cha (nest). Zhu Xiang Cha literally means "tea of bamboo fragrance", as the tea is endowed with a natural scent of bamboo while being aged in it.
Unlike the traditional Zhu Tong Cha, which is a whole section of big bamboo pipe filled with a lot of tea, our Zhu Xiang Cha is made in the just right measure for a single session, easy to brew and to carry. Besides the common Raw/Sheng and Ripe/Shou Puerh, we also offer Zhu Xian Cha of Dian Hong, the delicious black tea from the land of Puerh.
You may find some white sheet on the tea, which is the membrane of bamboo’s inner wall. It is good for health and also gives certain flavor to the tea. You don’t have to remove it while brewing.
